ELEANOR PURKIS, Founder

I have long been fascinated by the power of the right tools, insights, mindset and practical skills to drastically increase success in all fields and have been applying this knowledge from a young age to thrive both professionally and personally.

I have also experienced first hand the struggle faced by today’s students and graduates to build successful, satisfying lives in the face of unprecedented pressures, comparisons, debt, housing costs and job and career uncertainty.

Following university and experience in journalism, the third sector, Parliament and developing student services in universities, I trained as a barrister. Drawing on my optimisation knowledge and skills I was able to secure two major scholarships, win both mooting and negotiation competitions, volunteer for four organisations, work part time and still achieve the highest Middle Temple Bar finals results at the institution and a first class law degree, all whilst forging great friendships and contacts.

I found myself increasingly drawing on these skills as my career quickly ramped up - from taking on jury trials within months of starting on my feet to representing claimants in a £40 million pound group litigation within 2 years. Increasingly however, I found I got my greatest kicks from coaching the students and graduates referred to me and helping them to benefit from these tools and skills in their own lives.

A few years in to practice on a Pegasus Law Scholarship in New York and Washington DC I found that I spent most of my spare time developing my knowledge of the student and graduate coaching services in the US and knew it was time to found my coaching practice. Upon my return I undertook a course in Advanced Coaching at the University of Oxford, and I now split my time between working on a range of public law matters, engaging in projects to improve the outcomes of looked after children and care leavers and coaching students, graduates and lawyers.
